Boys 5A SIC Player Stats (through January 24)

Here are the statistics for the 5A Southern Idaho Conference boys, thanks again to Steve Schroeder.

Only 2.5 games separate first and fifth place. But, when it comes to qualifying for state, the more interesting look is at the race for fifth place. Remember, the top 5 teams automatically qualify for the district tournament. The bottom 6 teams have a single elimination play-in game to get into the district tournament. Boise, Vallivue, Eagle and Rocky Mountain are separated by only 2 games for that fifth place spot. With only 6-7 games to go, anyone could grab that spot or move even higher.

Individually, the leaders remain the same. Percifield (Mountain View) has extended his lead in the points category, Huskic (Centennial) remains atop the rebounding board (and moved into third in scoring), and Wright (Borah) stays ahead in the assists department, though Betancourt (Vallivue) could catch him with 6 assists in his next game.
