Putting a bow on the 2010-2011 season

The 2010-2011 basketball season was as good as any that Idaho Select has had. And while all the headlines and highlights for the year are too numerous to list, here are a few that showcase what our kids are capable of.

As of April 25, 2011 five Idaho Select players have signed or committed to play at various colleges during the past 5 months. Mitch Bruneel (Utah State), Joey Nebeker (Boise State), Tyson Percifield (Carroll College), Daved Gillmor (Northwest Christian) and Ryan Skurdal (Wenatchee Valley).

Idaho Select had 20 players that competed in the state tournament. Nebeker and Percifield return home with state titles, the first for both Melba and Mountain View.

Post season awards are plentiful as Idaho Select players receive conference (East Idaho, North Idaho, South Idaho) and state awards. Nebeker is named the Idaho Player of the Year.

Various players go off for big time performances in various games. McKay Cannon opens the season with 35 points for Shelley. Nebeker scores 31 against Fruitland. Percifield scores 37 in win over Boise.

Bruneel and Colby Blaine win a regional and national title for the College of Southern Idaho. Bruneel is named to the all-tournament team.
