Idaho's premier showcase tournament tips Friday afternoon

The Northwest Premier Invitational tournament tips off this Friday at Mountain View High School. While hoop fans in the area will be treated to seeing their favorite local players match up against the best players in the Northwest, we wanted to provide some background on the players and teams they will be facing.

Below are some of the highlights we expect for the weekend.

Eastern Washington Elite Red (first game Friday, 4:30 PM vs. Seattle Gametime)

EWE brings in players from around the western part of Washington and northern Idaho. They’ve gained respect from teams around the nation and now have backing from the Spokane Hoopfest.

CSI Elite Camp June 6-8 (first game Friday, 6:40 PM vs. Seattle Gametime)

The CSI coaching staff puts together a variety of players with the potential for the most athleticism in the tournament (just check out the video of Tyrel Lewis’ Dunk of the Day below). Even though Utah State commit Riley Bradshaw is out with a foot injury CSI looks tough.

Spokane Pump N’ Run (first game Friday, 8:50 PM vs. Hillcrest Knights)

Though they are a 16U team, Stacy Boyd’s program has grabbed the nation’s attention and has his club ranked #24 in the nation according to Five Star Basketball. This will provide a big opportunity for other teams to knock them off and make their claim for national prominence.
