The first Idaho Select tournament of the summer has finished up and what a great success! While all of the teams played hard in NW Premier Showcase (near Seattle) and found their own level of success, it was a break out tourney for the White team. The 17U team, coached by Colby Blaine, went 7-0 on their way to winning the Gold championship.
The constant amongst the White team and all the teams was toughness. For the most part, the Idaho Select teams were tougher than their opponents and willing to gut things out when things got close. And though all the teams have room for improvement, the trip was a great way to start the summer.
