Day 4 brings adidas Super 64 to a close

Day 4 ended a great tournament run for the Idaho Select teams, as three teams now prepare for the Best of the Summer tournament in L.A.

Idaho Select Black (17U) started their first game with a strong win over the Arizona Sting, 61-57 to advance to the Gold Bracket Sweet 16. A great game, Black battled back from an 11 point deficit and tied the game with 5:00 minutes to go. From there it was back and forth until the last :30 when Seth Anderson make 2 free throws to go up by four. Riley Bradshaw scored 16 points. Sean McCarthy scored 15 and Jack Nygaard added 14. That moved them into a match up with Moore Management, whom defeated the White team earlier in the day.

The second round with Moore Management went similar to the first. Moore put on an incredible shooting display (they were 26-28 from the free throw line), building a solid lead and finishing with an 82-65 win over the Black team. Jack Nygaard scored 19 points and Joey Nebeker scored 16. They finished the tournament 4-3 and advanced all they way to the Sweet 16 of the Gold Bracket.

For White (17U), Moore Management proved to be too much and grabbed a 67-61 win, ending White’s tournament with a 3-2 record in the Round of 32. McKay Cannon led the scoring for Idaho with 14 points. Clark Wilkinson added 13.

Idaho Select Green (15U) also saw their tournament run come to an end with a loss to IEBP, 50-52. There were several lead changes and Green had a shot to tie the game at the end. But the last shot rolled in and out to bring their Las Vegas trip to an end. Brandon Navarro and Shawn Stanley led Idaho Scorers with 15 points apiece.

The Red (14U) team faced a tough Aim High team from Connecticut and lost 57-64. They finished the tournament 2-2.
