It was a very good high school atmosphere from Rocky Mountain High School for the District III 5A title game between Borah and Mountain View.

Borah came out fired up while Mountain View seemed a little timid. Borah quickly got out to an 11-0 start before Mountain View was able to get their feet under them. They would eventually extend the lead to as high as 19 points.
Borah immediately identified mismatches and attacked. They were impressive with their ability to get past the first layer of defense and draw help side defenders to either kick out for open layups or occupy a rebounder to get putbacks.
But Mountain View weathered the storm. And as the first half came to a close they started to build momentum and finished on a small run which continued into the second half.
Eventually, Mountain View would cut the lead to 5 points with 3:00 to go. But Borah stayed calm, took care of the ball and made their free throws.
Borah will open up state against Distrct I/II runner up Coeur d’ Alene. Mountain View will face the winner of Eagle vs. Skyline tomorrow, which takes place Saturday.
