Today, as Idaho Select teams start their journey to Anaheim for the Best of the Summer tournament, we take a quick look back at last weekend in Bellevue, WA where all five teams had great success at the Northwest Premier Summer Showcase. The Northwest Premier Summer Showcase brought in the top teams from Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Canada.

17U teams show well at Northwest Premier Summer Showcase
Both the Anthony Davis Select and Idaho Select White teams played very well and went 3-0 in their respective pools at the Northwest Premier Summer Showcase, which qualified them both for the platinum bracket at the tournament. The Anthony Davis Select team made it to the semi-finals, where they lost to eventual champions I5 Elite. They got a signature win over EYBL team NW XPress along the way. Following the weekend, both Stefan Gonzalez and Jared Samuelson picked up offers from UC Davis and the University of Montana, respectively.
16U teams also made their mark
Both the Red and Blue 16U teams also qualified for their age division’s platinum bracket at the Northwest Premier Summer Showcase. And both teams would get first round wins leading them to the quarter finals. The Blue team would finish with a loss to a tough Northwest Panthers while the Red team lost to eventual champions Seattle Rotary.
15U team proves they can play
The 17U and 16U teams weren’t the only teams to get several wins and play well at the Northwest Premier Summer Showcase. The 15U team with a young roster also showed that when they play together they are tough. They finished 2-1 in their pool for a second place finish and qualified for the gold bracket. They got a first round win before losing to the eventual champions from Canada, Basketball BC Blue. They finished the weekend with a 3-2 record.
